hey my july recap is late. xD. i should have posted it last week but i completely forgot how many days there were in july. *facepalm* it's been a crazy couple of weeks. anyway, enjoy my late july recap! :D
july was a month of swim team, iced coffee, binge-writing, and comfort reading. it flew by so fast, with lots of fun days, late nights, calligraphy, and watercolors.
... Incredibles 2. AWESOME.
... i went to my grandparents' house for a weekend. we went kayaking and got pizza and spent nearly a whole day just reading and drinking coffee and doing the crossword puzzle. and binging "say yes to the dress" and "midsomer murders". *heart eyes*
... i started this blog! it took me forever to understand blogger and header images and centering, but i finally figured stuff out (a lot of googling and asking some other bloggers for help). and it took a lot of courage to actually push the publish button. but i'm excited to see where this blog will take me :) and it's a lot of fun!
... i got a job! at this tiny cute bagel place. it's so much fun working there :))
... the Go Teen Writers 100-4-100 challenge! i'm at 47k and on track to finish by the end of the challenge (august 31). so excited to FINALLY finish one of my stories :)

<3 <3,
allison riera
July was great, but in all honesty it's great to see August come into view (I turn 20!!!!). I love your book haul. XOXO
ReplyDeleteAw, happy birthday, Kara! <3 <3
DeleteGreat recap! That second credit scene from Ant-Man, though......so disappointing. My cousins and I were sitting in the theater in anticipation, and then . . . THAT shows up, and we were like "What?"
ReplyDeleteOooh, I’m going to read Fawkes at the same time! Can’t wait to hear what you think of it!
Again, great recap post, Allison! Hope your August goes well for you!
I know! The first end credit scene was just heartbreaking, and the second one...why?? xD
DeleteI'm so excited to read Fawkes! <3
Aw, thank you, Nicole! <3
Aw, congrats on your job, it sounds so cute!
ReplyDeleteBlue Lily, Lily Blue is amazing, and A Thousand Perfect Notes will shatter you!>.<
It is really cute, xD.
DeleteThe Raven Cycle <3. And I'm halfway through A Thousand Perfect Notes, and it's already breaking my heart *sobbing*.
Aaah! I saw Incredibles 2 this past June with my friends. I loved it so much! (As a little kid, I decided that I didn't like the first movie, and after seeing the second, I have concluded that Tiny Kara had terrible judgement. XD)
ReplyDeleteI want to read Fawkes very badly, but (sadly) I don't think I'll be buying anymore new books for the time being, as I just got a new bookcase to get the mountain of books off my floor. (The shelf already full. Whoops.)
One of my fave July reads was The Book Jumper, by Mechthild Gläser. It's set in Europe, has awesome descriptions, and even better plot twists. :)
Ah, Incredibles 2! The first one is better, in my opinion, but the sequel was really well done :))
DeleteCompletely understand about overflowing bookshelves! I'm slowly filling my second (eek) bookshelf up, so we'll see. xD
ooh, I haven't heard of that! I'll have to put it on my TBR :). It sounds great! <3 <3
A Thousand Perfect Notes!!! <3 <3 <3 I just finished reading that and it's amazzze. And Porch Swing Girl. That one is great too! Oh, and a copy of Fawkes just arrived in my mail today. I cannot wait to read it!!
ReplyDeleteHere's to your new blog!! And also, I tagged you for the Get To Know Me Tag at my blog! Hope you have fun with it!!
